Hull Have a “Swamp Goat”
We somehow managed to get through all of 2013 without once mentioning perennial MetalSucks faves and fellow New Yorkers Hull. Luckily, we have a great excuse to write about them now — specifically, Noisey‘s premiere of a brand new Hull jam, “Swamp Goat.”
And it really is difficult to hear the song without envisioning a goat inhabiting a swamp. I mean, the tune is just that muddy and, well, stubborn. How can a song be stubborn? Just listen to this and tell me you don’t picture some old bastard absolutely refusing to do anything but whatever the fuck it wants:
See? Stubborn!
“Swamp Goat” was actually recorded during sessions for the band’s 2007 debut. It’s as a limited edition 7″, Legend Of The Swamp Goat, which is out now on the band’s own Iron Orchestra Works imprint and Midnight Collective. Get it here.
