Speaking of Sinners: Demon Hunter Release New Song and Lyric Video, “Artificial Light”

Demon Hunter have released a new single, “Artificial Light,” via the below lyric video. Like a lot of Demon Hunter songs, it begins as an inoffensive early-aughts metalcore jam, and then the chorus kicks in and it’s all autotune and pain and tears. Seriously, this band could be a thousand percent more tolerable if they’d just cut it out with the clean vocals.

I will say this, though: I really, truly, sincerely like the guitar solo. Actually, just makes it that much more frustrating that I find the rest of the tune so mediocre.

“Artificial Light” will appear on Demon Hunger’s Extremist, which comes out March 18 on Solid State.
