Cribs: The Phil Anselmo Louisiana Homestead Edition

Y’know how on all those old episodes of MTV Cribs the host would open up the bedroom door — inevitably giving way to some ridiculously sized bed loaded with superfluous pillows and surrounded by lush curtains — and triumphantly declare “This is where the magic happens?” I always thought it’d be funny if someone made that proclamation upon opening up the fridge. Oh, you’ve got Sriracha in there? Yes indeed, magic DOES happen!

No such proclamations are made by Philip H. Anselmo in this video he recently shot with Fuse News, but he’s certainly got an incredible piece of property in the rural Northshore area of Louisiana, about 45 minutes north of New Orleans. Phil’s acreage has not only his house (which looks exactly like how you’d expect!) but plenty of waterfront space, a little beach, large wooded areas, farm animals and, of course, the Housecore Records office and his own recording studio, Nodferatu’s Lair. Phil is living pretty much the exact life I hope to someday lead; well done, sir.
