Police Drop Domestic Violence Charges Against Former Anthrax Guitarist Dan Spitz

Finally, some good news for Red Lamb fan: following the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s declaration that the incident report contains “discrepancies,” authorities have dropped domestic abuse charges against Red Lamb’s mastermind, Dan Spitz (he also used to be in some band called Anthrax). You may recall that Spitz was arrested Christmas morning following a drunken dispute with his wife and manager, Candi.

The cops’ decision not to pursue the case isn’t exactly surprising, given that Candi herself opted not to file charges against her husband, saying that the whole thing was “a big misunderstanding” and blaming her mother for unnecessarily calling 911. Still, given Candi’s recent revelation that that “Dan may have early onset Parkinson’s Disease,” I’m sure the entire Spitz family is glad to have this drama off their plate.
