Skeletonwitch are Releasing a Limited Edition LP to Benefit Animal Shelters
All the guys in Skeletonwitch are huge animal-lovers — they all have pets, and, if memory serves, they were featured in one of those “Cutest Kitties in Metal” features in Decibel Magazine a few years back. Turns out these haggard, scraggly metal bros are all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Now they’re putting their money where their furry mouths are: on January 20th they’ll release a very limited edition version of their latest album Serpents Unleashed, all the proceeds of which will go towards two animal shelters in their home state of Ohio, The Athens County Humane Society and Pets Without Parents in Columbus.
The pressing will be limited to just 100 copies. Each one is etched on 180-gram vinyl, has a hand-screened and hand-numbered jacket with exclusive artwork and a hand-screened dust sleeve. A color poster and sticker showcasing the album’s original John Baizley artwork is included as well. And in case this is your first copy of Serpents Unleashed in any form, a download card too.
Get yours at http://www.skeletonwitch.com on Monday, January 20th at 1:00pm EST. There are only 100, so these are gonna go fast. Here’s a video from the band announcing the special release:
