Sh*t That Comes Out Today: Stream Stuntman’s ‘Excessive’ New Gem
Happy Tuesday, MetalSucks reader! Last Tuesday we read about two weeks of heavy new releases — for January 7 and today (check them out) — and jammed wild new shit from We All Die (Laughing), Self Defense Family, Iron Reagan/Exhumed, Suffering In Solitude, and a bunch more. That’s a lot of ear-grabbing new stuff for this time of year, and now our luck continues: Another killer new album arrives today that hitherto slipped by us: Stuntman’s third album Incorporate The Excess (Solar Flare). Lucky us! We jam!
It takes about two seconds to get interested in Stuntman: In 2014 it’s good practice to give a careful listen to loud bands from France, to albums with tattoo-worthy cover art (above), and to players as tight as Stuntman’s. Think of an angrier Botch, a similarly chaotic Minús, and a snappier Heart Attack — with the replay value of a racing, off-kilter grindcore gem. Actually, you’d probably send Incorporate on to your buds who love Gojira, Atheist, or Pig Destroyer, such is Stuntman’s surprisingly colorful guitar palette, flow, and blinding heat. You’d hop on stage to do a birthday shot with these guys — but they’re just as likely to smash a bong across your face. Stream the entire album at Heavy Blog Is Heavy.
