The Simpsons Apologizes for Calling Judas Priest “Death Metal” in the Best Way Possible
Naysayers (and pretty much anyone who knows a lick about metal) were quick to pick on The Simpsons for having a character on the show refer to Judas Priest as “death metal” when the band made a cameo on last week’s episode. And, I mean, well… yeah, that’s a pretty bad error.
Well, the writers of The Simpsons realized the gravity of their mistake and apologized for this oversight the single most appropriate way possible: by having Bart Simpson write it out over and over on the chalkboard in the show’s famous intro segment last night.
I’m not taking back anything I’ve said about the decline in quality of The Simpsons over the past decade plus, but this definitely rules. The Internet wins!
