This is What Down Looks Like Now

Down IV Part I – The Purple EP came out more than a year ago. Down IV Part II – The Blue EP (or whatever it ends up being called — there’s obviously no realy reason to assume they’re moving linearly along the color spectrum) still has no release date. This is disappointing, both because we all want to hear new Down music, and we all want to be reassured that new Down music can still rock even without Kirk Windstein.

HOWEVER! The Downers did just release two new band photos to Facebook, which suggests that Down IV Part II Chapter V Verse III is on the way at last, because why go to all the trouble of having a promotional photo session if you’re not about to need promotional photos?

Check out the pics below. In case you can’t tell, new guitarist Bobby Landgraf is the one who looks like his chest hair is slowly creeping up his face.

I actually prefer this second photo, because it seems like nobody knew where to look.
