You Call Yourself a Fan? This Dude Walked 2,000 Miles to Meet Sonata Arctica

I really love to take long walks. They don’t even have to be on the beach! I just think they’re great for doing some good thinking. Many an idiotic MetalSucks post has been prepared in my head mentally during a long walk well before I ever sat down to execute it.

And yet thanks to this story on Metal Insider about a French dude, Jordan Langlois, who walked 2,000 miles to hang out with Sonata Arctica has me questioning my alleged love of walking, and, for that matter, my alleged love of music. I mean, this dude rrrreeaaaalllyyyy loves Sonata Arctica — he faked asthma to get out gym class and claims to hate walking! Expenditure of physical energy clearly comes at a premium for Monsieur Langlois.

Is there any band I’d walk 2,000 miles to meet? I don’t think so… at least, not without a time machine. Chilling with Cliff Burton today would probably be anti-climactic at best.
