This Winter, Job for a Cowboy’s Nick Schendzielos IS Osama bin Terminator
Whatever drugs Cephalic Carnage / Job For A Cowboy bassist Nicholas Schendzielos is on, I want some (I think). The dude has now released his third solo video, “Ol Dirty Wizard-1000’s Funking Dead Bass Shenanigans,” and against all odds, Schendzielos and his collaborators, Matthew Zinke and Landon Meier, have a found a way to make some even more completely fucking bizarre than their previous clips for “Jungle Jams” and “Mullet Clown Bads Gun Control.”
I’m not even kidding: the video stars Schendzielos in a rubber mask as a Terminator version of Osama bin Laden (which I’m guessing was at least partially inspired by the movie Osombie), surrounded by zombies who are sometimes doing normal zombie shit (e.g., eating people) and sometimes doing shit even weird than zombie shit (e.g., offering “free zombie hugs”). And — spoiler alert! — it concludes with bin Terminator being apprehended by two men who are fascistic in appearance and carry toy guns, which dissolves to the American flag. Meanwhile, the music samples not only composer Brad Fidel’s theme for the Terminator films, but also the music from Mortal Kombat, James Brown, David Lee Roth, Prince, and Fred Durst.
Does all of this “mean” anything, or is it just Schendzielos and his friends have a good time? I don’t think any non-schizophrenic could possibly know the answer.
