Toontrack Metal Month: Watch This Demo Video of Andy James Shredding Through a New Track
Toontrack Metal Month is winding to a close here at MetalSucks. We’ve brought you some killer features for gear-heads including interviews with Andy Sneap, Jason Suecof and others, a livestream of a Soilwork concert in Umeå, Sweden, spotlights on Toontrack’s brand new recording bundles designed specifically for metalheads and more. If you’re a home recording engineer and you walk away from November without several new products in your arsenal, well, you’re doing it all wrong.
The latest piece of content sums everything up all into one: Toontrack and JamTrackCentral.com have released a video of guitarist Andy James playing through some of the brand new tones in an original composition called “Dream of Becoming” that was recorded using only Toontrack products. The tones he’s playing come from the Metal Amps pack for EZmix 2, the Andy Sneap pack for EZmix 2 and the Metal! EZX pack for EZdrummer, which features tones produced and mixed by Jason Suecof, Mark Lewis and Daniel Bergstrand. James samples several tones from each pack throughout the song while subtitles tell you which one is currently activated; we can’t think of a better way to hear what these packs actually sound like. Of course, they sound friggin’ awesome. Check it out:
You can stream the solo track, backing track, video and get TAB/Notation for FREE by creating an account at JamTrackCentral.
