Listen: Occultist’s Late Entry For Best-Of-Year Honors

On Thursday, we warned you to stop the presses on your list of 2013’s best albums until such time that you could consider a killer late-year release. Well, um, hey sorry but here’s one more: A rabid new set of crusty death by Occultist titled Death Signals Sigils. It’s a punky, aggressive superjam that you can leave on repeat all day (like Municipal Waste, Nuclear Assault) and that threatens to collapse into a horrid squalling mess every few bars or so (like Enabler, Nails). Expect to love Sigils‘ vocals too; on my first listen I kept kinda blinking with my eyebrows raised like the door of my oven had blown off and its heat was searing my delicate face.
