Kataklysm and Aborted are Gonna Tour North America in Spring 2014
Winter tours are usually pretty scarce, but we’re coming up on that three or four month buffer in which tours for the early spring are gonna be announced soon. It’s not even really winter yet, but spring, hooray! Already we know about Children of Bodom and Tyr, Amon Amarth, Enslaved and Skeletonwitch, Black Sabbath, and Dark Tranquillity, Omnium Gatherum and Exmortus. All these tours involve European bands which makes sense because they need longer to acquire visas, book travel, and so on and so forth. So I’d wager that pretty soon we’ll start to hear about spring tours involving more bands from the good ol’ U.S. and A.
But first: a band from Canada! Not quite as difficult to get into the USA from Canada as it is from Europe, but still probably a bitch. Canada’s imperial riff-makers Kataklysm have promised a tour of their home country and the US in April 2014, and they’re bringing their Dutch/Belgian brethren in Aborted with them. Other support acts and dates have yet to be announced. Kataklysm are also touring Australia, Japan and Europe in the near future… a true world tour. Get dates here. Don’t miss ’em.
