Betzefer’s “The Devil Went Down to the Holy Land” is One of the Best Music Videos of the Year

I can’t take Israel’s Betzefer seriously; their music just sounds too much like the Cookie Monster singing over some local bar band.

But their new, Ricardo Werdesheim-directed video for the song “The Devil Went Down to the Holy Land” has to be one of the best of the year. The animation and the visual style in general is just so great! It’s the kind of video that actually makes the mediocre music its advertising seem better. I’d watch this just for the fun of it.
