Does Sister Make You “Sick”?

Sweden’s Sister dress like Nikki Sixx in the early 80s, which is to say they dress like Black Veil Brides now, and they’re going on tour with Wednesday 13 from the Murderdolls, and even though they’re described in their press release as being “Punk’n’Metal,” let’s get real, this is a modern day glam band. All of this means that I should hate them; even the fact that I actively enjoy hair metal isn’t an automatic plus in their column, ’cause 99% of all modern hair metal sucks. (“ALL hair metal sucks!” the less-clever MetalSucks reader guffaws.)

But I gotta say, I do not mind this at all. It’s way catchy, dude! I could see this being the soundtrack to a fantastic evening of drunken, drug-fueled debauchery, which is really all you want from a band like this. Check it out (NSFW!!!):

“Sick” will appear on Sister’s second album, You Didn’t Know We Had a First Album!, which should be out in early 2014 on Metal Blade. The digital single comes out October 28.
