Nachtmystium’s Blake Judd Will Remain in Jail Until November
Last week, Nachtmystium mastermind Blake Judd was arrested on charges of theft by unauthorized control of property not exceeding $500. If you, like me, were desperately hoping that Judd would be released from jail before this Wednesday’s Metal Insider CMJ showcase at Europa in Brooklyn, then you, like me, are now sad: according to Metal Insider, Judd’s next court date is now scheduled for Friday, November 1. In case you’re too dumb to read a calendar, that’s after this Friday. And Judd’s bail remains set at $25,000. So, barring the appearance of a wealthy benefactor who really loves black metal, no, Nachtmystium will not be playing MI’s CMJ show on Wednesday.
That’s a serious bummer, but there’s a silver lining: the rest of the line-up includes Byzantine, Black Anvil, Ramming Speed and Vattnet Viskar, which is to say, the show is still going to be a blast, even sans Nachtmystium. Buy tickets here.
