Gorguts To Gut U.S. Fans on Headlining Tour
Gorguts’ Colored Sands is out now on Season of Mist. Being Luc Lemay and company’s first album in more than a decade, it arrived with skyscraper-high expectations… and then, like some kind of French-Canadian tech death Superman, it leapt right over that skyscraper. It is, in a word, magnificent.
So this news should have everyone collectively weeping with joy: Gorguts will hit the road for a ten-date headlining tour in December. This latest incarnation of the band — which also features guitarist Kevin Hufnagel (Dysrhythmia, Vaura), bassist Colin Marston (Dysrhythmia, Krallice), and drummer John Longstreth (Origin) — is truly a sight to behold live and I advise you not to miss this tour under any circumstances. But just to make extra-sure that this is a can’t-miss event, the band is brining along Origin and Nero Di Marte for support. I probably don’t have to tell you how awesome Origin are (although I do need to marvel at the fact that Longstreth will pulling double-duty — playing with these two bands every night must be exhausting!). I haven’t seen Nero Di Marte live yet, but their self-titled release has been kicking our ass and stealing our lunch money all year, so I have extremely high hopes.
Basically, the mere thought of this tour should keep you warm through the coming cold winter months. It’s gonna be so much fun!!!
