James LaBrie Has HORRIBLE Taste in Music

In the below interview, Dream Theater’s John Petrucci and James LaCheese are asked if there any current metal bands which they find inspiring; Petrucci takes the opportunity to once again express admiration for Periphery… and then LaCheese name drops I See Stars, Sleeping with Sirens, Bring Me the Horizon, and August Burns Red, all of whom the singer praises for their “rawness.” Which is a little bit like asserting that you love Disturbed because David Draiman has great hair.

Even Petrucci seems totally perplexed by LaCheese’s choice of bands, at one point interrupting to ask his bandmate, “Are you making this up?” So that oughta shut up naysayers like me who say Dream Theater would be a million times better without LaCheese, no?
