This New Kayo Dot Song is a Progressive and Experimental Mind-Bender

Kayo Dot will release a new album called Hubardo on September 1st through their Bandcamp page, and Cvlt Nation has premiered a brand new song from that record called “Passing the River” which you can stream below. It’s awesome — at first you might find yourself wondering why this track is appearing on a metal site, but a) stick with it through all of the song’s 10+ minutes, and b) open your mind a little, dude.

Something else that’s especially cool: since Kayo Dot are self-releasing Hubardo as a digital-only release at first, they’ll be taking the proceeds from that and putting them right back into a vinyl version to be released in the not-too-distant future. You can pre-order the vinyl here.
