Which One is Eyes Set to Kill Again?
Dude… which one is Eyes Set to Kill again? And don’t say “the metalcore band with the female singer,” because that’s about as helpful as saying “the band with the dude with long hair.” Are they the ones from Italy? The ones who were in Playboy? Are they ones whose singer was in a Dr. Seuss movie? Did one of them marry the guy from Machine Head? Or was it the guy from Slipknot? Were they part of that terrible tour that Godsmack let their fans name? Are they that band Leyla Ford likes? Are they that band Sergeant D. likes? Are they that band Anso likes? Were they on the cover of Revolver‘s “Hottest Chicks in Metal” issue? Which one?
I honestly can’t remember, and their new song, “Where I Want to Be,” is not helping, seeing as it’s completely lacking in specificity of authorial voice. I can say that it’s not the worst song I’ve ever heard, though, so maybe next time I’ll remember, “Oh, Eyes Set to Kill is the one that’s totally mediocre but not completely terrible.” It’s entirely possible I’ll continue to confuse them with Halestorm, though. Wait… which one is Halestorm again?
“Where I Want to Be” appears on Eyes Set to Kill’s appropriately-titled Masks, which comes out September 17 on Century Media.
