“Concrete” Video: Batillus Bury Bodies
The thing I love about “Concrete,” the opening cut from Batillus’ Concrete Sustain, is the contrast between the mostly-upbeat drums and the mostly-terrifying everything else. It seems like the music that might play inside the brain of a serial killer who is very angry, sure, but is also high on life. It’s weird, I know, but it’s also insanely catchy, the kind of song where one listen will get it stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Little wonder that Vince and I agree: Concrete Sustain is one of the best albums of the year so far.
So, I implore you: check out the band’s new video for “Concrete” below. It looks like a Bard student’s experimental snuff film. Freaky.
Concrete Sustain is out now on Seventh Rule.
