Contest: Design the Banner for The MetalSucks Podcast
Hard to believe, but The MetalSucks Podcast is now more than three months old! Have you been listening? It has been getting progressively more awesome by the week, if we do say so ourselves, and we’ve had lotsa cool guests on, including The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Greg Puciato, Misha Mansoor from Periphery, Cory Brandan from Norma Jean, and DevilDriver’s Dez Fafara, to name but a few. In fact, there’s only one element of the show which has not gotten consistently cooler since the podcast’s inception: the banner.
We know, we know. We’ve been meaning to design a new one since the very first episode. What can we say? We’re very busy here at the MetalSucks Mansion (Dave Mustaine and Frankie Palmeri ain’t gonna make fun of themselves, y’know?).
Which is why we’ve decided to launch a contest to allow you, our beloved readers, to take a crack at the banner for us! It worked out really well for Question of the Week, so we’re confident y’all can come up with something killer for this, too.
Here are the rules:
- Design a banner for The MetalSucks Podcast (duh). The only requirements are that it be 1000 pixels in width, 515 pixels in height, and feature the words “The MetalSucks Podcast” somewhere in the image. Beyond that, use your imagination and go totally nuts!
- E-mail news AT metalsucks DOT net with PODCAST BANNER CONTEST in the subject line. Make sure you remember to attach the banner, dummy.
- We’ll pick our favorite, to be used as the official banner of The MetalSucks Podcast from now until the end of time, or until we get bored of, whichever comes first. The winner’s name (or handle of choice) will be featured below the banner here on MetalSucks every week, and you’ll get a one-time special shout-out on the podcast, too. In addition, we’ll send you a special goodie box with a MetalSucks t-shirt (design and size of your choice, pending availability), plus some CDs and other cool swag from the MetalSucks Mansion Vault.
- Deadline for entries is Monday, September 2 at midnight EST.
And that’s it! Now get crackin’! We can’t wait to see what you come up with.
