CRAZYTOWN is back, bitches!!!
As a prominent voice in the youth leadership community, I feel like it’s my responsibility to be honest with my audience. To leave myself completely naked before them with nothing to hide, as vulnerable and alone as they are. With that in mind, I’m just going to come out and say it: I used to be an Internet Metal Nerd. I’m not proud of it, but it’s true… I used to post about Decrepit Birth, Demilich and Origin on the Relapse forum. I used to drool over guitars. I even pretended I liked Spawn Of Possession (now THAT’s truly bottoming out!!).
Teaser from their upcoming new album! Sounds like this track could approach “Dark Side” levels of greatness. Stoked!!
And then I had my awakening. It didn’t happen overnight, but if I had to point to one single moment where I realized I was no longer that sad, overly opinionated basement dweller, it would be one day in 2008. I was at the gym doing bis and tris, flexing in the mirror and admiring my pump. As I hit a double bicep pose and said “Damn bro, my arms look kinda swole,” “Revolving Door” off the first CxT album came on my iPod. I thought to myself “You know what dude, this band is seriously fuckin good. This is my fuckin jam.” I don’t think I ever put on an Atheist or Coroner album again, and I never fuckin looked back. I was reborn, and CxT were my godparents.
THEY’RE FUCKIN BACK. THEY AIN’T GOIN NOWHERE. THEY FLIPPED THE FUCKIN SCRIPT ON ALL THE BUSTERS, NEW JACKS AND JEALOUS-ASS HATERS.
FUCK YOU. CXT 2K13.
