That Slayer + Gojira Tour is Coming Together (Three Dates Now Confirmed)

Slayer have announced two very special shows via press release this morning: they’ll play the Hollywood Palladium on Monday, October 28, and New York’s Theater at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, November 27 (the night before Thanksgiving). Why are these shows “very special”? I’m not sure, really… I guess because they’re in smaller venues than the band would usually play? Gojira and 4ARM will open both dates.

Together with the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, TX on November 8-10 (exact date of Slayer TBA), we’ve now got three dates on the books — with the Texas show perfectly situated in the middle for that cross country drive — making that Slayer + Gojira tour I predicted seem all but a certainty. Which is rad. Truth be told I am not all that interested in seeing Slayer for the umpteenth time (the whole Slexoder thing not withstanding), but I’ll never pass up an opportunity to see Gojira, and hey, while I’m there I may as well watch Slayer too.
