Looks Like Phil Anselmo is Gonna Be Playing Some Pantera Songs on Tour

Since the demise of Pantera, Phil Anselmo has only performed songs by that band as part of all-star jam sessions at events like the Metal Masters clinics — he has not, to the best of my knowledge, played any ‘Tera material with his own projects.

But it looks that’s about to change! For the Anselminator has posted this video of himself and his solo band, The Illegals, rehearsing “Death Rattle,” from the band’s final album, 2000’s Reinventing the Steel. It’s hard for me to imagine he’d do that if the band weren’t planning to play the song live — it’s just too much of a cocktease to pull such a stunt. So now you have ANOTHER incentive to go see Anselmo on tour.

I can’t imagine anyone reading this website haven’t heard the original, but just in case…
