Here’s the Trailer for that Horror Movie Slash Produced
Things I learned from watching the first trailer for Nothing Left to Fear, Slash’s producorial debut:
- The movie has added the words “left to” to its original title for some reason.
- Despite previous reports, Oscar nominee Thomas Hayden Church is not in the movie (I’m guessing he was going to play the role now occupied by Clancy Brown from The Shawshank Redemption and Starship Troopers.)
- Although no one ever made a big deal out of it, Anne Heche, a.k.a. the ex-Mrs. Ellen Degeneres, is in the movie.
- Even as a horror fan, I probably wouldn’t see this if Slash weren’t involved.
- Putting that little Slash logo above the title just makes the whole thing seem that much crappier.
- Slash cannot read fluidly off of cue cards.
Watch the trailer below. The movie gets a limited release on October 4 via Anchor Bay, the same distributor that did such a bang-up job with Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem. That same day, the soundtrack, which Slash composed, natch, will be released.
