Here’s a Metal Version of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”

Are you one of the five people in the world who hasn’t heard “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk with Pharrell Williams? If so, mazel tov on not leaving the house all summer long, and we hope you’re at least bothering to bathe, and here’s the song, which is catchier than herpes:

So, needless to say, someone has gone ahead and recorded a metal cover of the song. That someone is Kobra and the Lotus guitarist Charlie Parra del Riego, who has enlisted Norwegian singer Pellek to do the Pharrell part. As Metal Insider notes, “It actually works pretty well as a power metal cover” — although, not being the world’s biggest power metal fan, I would happily trade Pellek’s vox for someone a little deathier.
