Cradle of Filth/Volbeat/The Cult/Gorgoroth Supergroup Has a Machine That Makes Infernal Desires
It was a year-and-a-half ago that we first heard about Temple of the Black Moon, a supergroup featuring Cradle of Filth’s Dani Filth, former Anthrax/current Volbeat guitarist Rob Caggiano, drummer John Tempesta of Testament/Rob Zombie/The Cult fame, and bassist Tom Cato Visnes (Sahg, I, Gorgoroth, and Ov Hell). Now we are, at last, getting to hear more than just song snippets from the outfit: according to the band’s Facebook page, they’ll begin recording their debut album tomorrow. Furthermore, the clever sleuths at Metal Insider have discovered that the band posted a full demo of the song “Infernal Desire Machine” awhile back, and somehow no one picked up on the news. Huh.
ANYWAY, the track is… fine. I don’t hate it, but it didn’t leave me dying to hear more, either. See if you dig it more than I do:
On a semi-related note, why the hell is Rob Caggiano trying to hitch a ride in that promo pic?
