Stream of the Architect: Dawning

Mouth of the Architect’s most excellent new album Dawning — from which we premiered one track last week — is now streaming in its entirety at Invisible Oranges.

We’ve been voicing our approval of this album for quite some time, but now’s your chance to hear what MS contributor Alkahest aptly called “quality progressive sludge” in his official review of the record. The only knock on the album is what MS commenter “Slaysefiteasf” called “the St Anger snare!,” which, indeed, is a baffling production choice on MotA’s part. Fortunately these guys aren’t telling us to flush it out and nearly everything else on Dawning is pretty great. The record came out yesterday.

We had the opportunity to see these guys open for Intronaut and Scale the Summit in Brooklyn a couple of weeks back and they absolutely destroyed; huge, powerful, dynamic and even better live than on record. Remaining tour dates below:
