Evan Brewer’s New Jam “Microscopic Scale” Brings the Groove on a Macroscopic Scale
Bassist Evan Brewer (The Faceless) teased a sophomore solo album all the way back in October, and today, finally, eight months later, we get to hear a piece of it.
“Microscopic Scale” makes good on Brewer’s promise to expand from the bass-only template of his first album to a much more robust format, as the song sees his former Animosity bandmate and ex-Animals as Leaders drummer Navene Koperweis — as well as keyboardist Jeremiah Abel — join the fold. I think these changes are definitely for the positive: Brewer’s first album was kinda cool but ultimately hard to focus on for too long, while this new, re-jiggered lineup makes for a more engaging and dynamic listen. The new album Your Itinerary comes out on July 16th. Catch Brewer opening up for Last Chance to Reason on a MetalSucks-sponsored U.S. tour starting in July. Dates here!
