Exclusive Track Premiere: Mouth of the Architects’ “Sharpen Your Axes”

Atmospheric, desperate, and totally crushing: those are the phrase that come to mind when listening to Mouth of the Architect’s new album, Dawning. “Sharpen Your Axes,” the third track on the album, exemplifies this vibe: you might expect a song with a title that refers to “axes” to be some kind of battle metal anthem, but you’ll find no such thing here. “Sharpen Your Axes” slowly builds a sense of dread before exploding in a fit of rage, sadness, and pain. It is, simply put, beyond intense.
