Chthonic Continue to Make Weird, Elaborate Videos with “Supreme Pain for the Tyrant”
Chthonic are either way bigger than I thought they were, or production costs in Taiwan are much less than I’m assuming they are, or Spinefarm just has a LOT of faith in this band. Because “Supreme Pain for the Tyrant” is the third video produced in support of the band’s new album, Bú-Tik — which isn’t even out yet. It’s not entirely uncommon for bands to release multiple videos prior to a record’s release… but none of these videos have looked all that cheap. (You can watch the other two here and here.) This one features a mansion, a semi-orgy, Nazis, choreographed dancers, and, of course, Doris Yeh’s cleavage. Actually the cleavage probably comes free with Yeh, but still… that other shit is expensive!
Bú-Tik comes out June 18 on Spinefarm. You can stream it in full right here.
