Black Sabbath’s “God is Dead?” Video is Dumb

Black Sabbath’s new video for “God is Dead?” was directed by Peter Jospeh, the dude who makes those Zeitgeist movies. But apparently he didn’t have a single creative idea for the clip’s content, or even its presentation. The video features a string of images as cliché as they get — video of war, headlines about how fucked up shit is in the world, fat cats smoking cigars, etc. — intercut with footage of Sabbath in their heyday. Really, it’s boring as fuck. But hey, at least it only lasts for nine minutes and looks like it cost less than Ozzy spent on Metamucil last month, right?

Black Sabbath’s new album, Yohimbine, comes out tomorrow.
