Queens of the Stone Age Performed on Live on Letterman for a Full Hour
What do you guys think of the new Queens of the Stone Age album …Like Clockwork? I haven’t listened to it in full yet, although I’ve listened to a couple of the singles they’ve released and none have really bowled me over. I haven’t been able to get into anything by QOTSA since Songs For the Deaf — and to a lesser extent Lullabies to Paralyze — because the band just hasn’t had that certain something for me since Nick Oliveri left the band, so maybe I’m not the best judge.
Apparently I’m in the minority, though, because the MS inbox was blowing up when QOTSA announced a “secret” show that will take in Brooklyn tonight at the Masonic Temple. Don’t get excited ’cause it sold out in like two seconds, but maybe if you show up you can score a ticket from a scalper or something.
Or you can just live vicariously: the band performed for nearly an hour on Live on Letterman Wednesday night, and that entire performance is now online in all its pro-shot glory. Watch it below.
