In Russia, Stain Sh*ts On You

Crabcore has come to Russia — and the Russians, to their discredit, have figured out a way to make it even stupider and more irritating.

Convicted Skies’ song is called “Jane Eyre,” and while I can’t understand the lyrics (’cause they’re in Russian, duh), there’s nothing about the video that leads me to believe anyone in the band has ever read any Brontë… except, maybe, maybe for the fact that they’ve included a sad young woman in the clip. But given that ninety-nine out of a hundred crabcore videos star sad young women, I can’t even really give them credit for that. I guess they deserve a pat on the back for recognizing that “Jane” is a woman’s name? After that, they had a 50/50 chance of getting her mood right.
