Exclusive Track Premiere: F*ck the Facts’ “Vent Du Nord”
“Vent du nord” is French for “north wind,” but a more apt title for Fuck the Facts’ new song might have been “Tornade de toutes les directions” — “tornado from all directions.” The Canadian quintet’s latest displays the same maddening, unrelenting ferocity that fans know and love, along with some of their typically atypical touches — like a dizzying, surprisingly melodious guitar lick that gives the song’s rage an underlying sense of melancholy, too. And so, like a tornado, the track leaves you fearful, furious, sad, and exhausted (and it does all of that inside of two-and-half minutes). It’s this kind of multifaceted approach that have made Fuck the Facts one of the leading names in modern grind, and a sign of their ongoing artistic evolution. It is, in a word, AWESOME.
MetalSucks is proud to debut “Vent du nord,” which you can stream below. It will appear on the band’s new EP, Amer, which comes out June 18, and is an absolute must-own. You can pre-order a 10″ vinyl and/or cassette copy here, or a digital copy here. DO IT!!!
