New Revocation Album Art Will Melt Your Face, Make Worms Explode from Your Skull

Good news: Revocation have unveiled the album art for their forthcoming self-titled album. It’s by Orion Landau, who has previously worked with bands like Dying Fetus, Obscura, and Nile, and in the grand tradition of great metal album art, it’s not really clear what the fuck it actually is other than something totally bad-ass and evil looking. It also may just be an interpretative illustration of the artist’s mother-in-law.

Better news: the band has announced that Relapse will release Revocation on August 6!!! It totally rips so you start getting stoked now. Hopefully/presumably they’ll release a new single soon so you can hear a lil’ sumpin’ sumpin’.

They will also presumably be playing some new material when they do Summer Slaughter starting in July. Other bands on the bill include The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals as Leaders, Periphery, Norma Jean, Cattle Decapitation, and The Ocean. Get dates here.
