This New Darkane Song is Pretty Sweet, New/Old Vocalist or Not

Darkane fanboys are way excitebike about the return of vocalist Lawrence Mackrory, who was last heard on the band’s 1999 debut. Said news is mostly immaterial to me — Darkane have been consistently solid for years and I liked the other two vocalists just fine — but hey, if this news gets you tickled in your nethers then more power to ya.

Here’s “The Sinister Supremacy,” the first song we’re hearing from Darkane’s new album of the same name, in which Mackrory sounds just fine but really it’s all about the riffs just like it’s always been. Plenty of good Swedish melodeath-y stuff going on here with just the right amount of thrashiness, which is all we can ever ask for from Darkane. Listen below:
