Watch Someone Else Play Metallica Pinball for Fifteen Minutes

The makers of the new Metallica pinball machines have released a fifteen minute-plus video of competitive pinballer Lyman Sheats (I’m tempted to make a crack about how this dude has wasted his life, but I blog about metal for a living so whatever) playing one such machine. I have no idea what this video is so goddamn long; the camera angle never even changes. It’s as though the game’s creators think Metallica fans won’t believe the game is real unless they can view the longest possible sample. But really it just reminds me of when I was a kid and a friend would show off some cool new toy/video game/whatever but wouldn’t actually let me have a turn with it. The difference is, when I was six, I’d get really jealous and upset; now that I’m in my 30s, I’m just like, “You’re a dick, Lyman, I’m gonna go get some pizza.”
