Some Dude Tackled Mick Mars

It’s no secret that Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars suffers from ankylosing spondylitis, a really painful affliction that is making him scoliotic and basically turning him into a human statue. Honestly, it all sounds so miserable that I’d be afraid to give the guy a good firm handshake, let alone, say, jump up on stage while he was performing and tackle him.

And yet, that’s what one fan did during a Crüe show in Canada on Saturday. He also grabbed Vince Neil, busted two of the ribs of Mars’ bodyguard, Rhyno (facepalm), and made Tommy Lee really really angry. Fuckin’ Canadians. When will they learn???

To add insult to injury, this all took place on Mars’ sixty-second birthday. It’s as though God sent Mars a reminder that he’s old and frail. Which is actually getting off pretty light. I mean, God could have sent horrible parody lyrics to really smite Mars, y’know?
