Gigantour 2013: Officially Crappy

Not that we didn’t see this coming, but the 2013 edition of Megadeth’s Gigantour is now officially the most exciting tour of the year… if you’re a leaky douchebag with horrible taste in music.

In addition to the previously-announced Device and Death Division, Hellyeah have now been added to the bill, reports The PRP. I’m not sure if they’re going to be the last band announced, but if the past couple of Gigantours are any indication, there will, at most, be only one more band in the line-up. But it really doesn’t matter. This tour is now to Megadeth as those Summer Sanitarium treks with bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit were to Metallica: an attempt to appeal to lowest-common-denominator frat fucks.

And honestly, I find if kinda baffling. Between this and the crappy new Megadeth single — which is barely even recognizable as ‘Deth — it almost seems like Dave Mustaine is deliberately abandoning his core audience. Which really makes no sense, because the last time he tried that, it didn’t go so well for him.

Dates for Gigantour will probably be announced shortly, but really, who gives a shit?
