New ASG Song is Good, Does Not Use Papyrus Font
ASG are back with the second song to be released from their new album Blood Drive, and you can rest easy this time knowing that your eyes will not be assaulted by the atrocity to mankind known as Papyrus. Not wanting to risk offending the Font Gods, ASG opted this time for no video at all to accompany this track; “Take that, stupid metal blogger!”
All goading aside, I love this band and they are absolutely worth your time to check out. The song is called “Castlestorm” and it’s streaming at Loudwire right now. The sludgy, stoney grooves on this track play right into the band’s knack for writing catchy tunes; dig on that harmonized guitar run that repeats throughout the chorus! Sweet guitar solo too. Aces all around. A++++ WDBWA.
Blood Drive comes out on May 28th via Relapse Records and can be pre-ordered here. Check out the official MetalSucks dueling reviews of the album between Kip Wingerschmidt and Andy O’Connor for a bit of a difference of opinion.
