The Psyke Project’s New Album Guillotine: Sludgy, Black-Metally, Post-Something
MetalSucks reader Michael P. describes The Psyke Project’s new album Guillotine as “some sludgy, black-metally, post-something,” and I’m inclined to agree; that description pretty much nails it.
This here is some seriously good shit. The Danish band has been around for over a decade and Guillotine is their fifth full-length album, but for whatever reason they’ve never gotten much attention in the States. I remember hearing 2009’s Dead Storm when it came out through Translation Loss and really digging it, and I vaguely remembering posting about the incredibly weird music video [NSFW!] they made in its support.
Guillotine is out now and can be purchased for any amount of money you feel like giving through Bandcamp. Stream it in full below:
