Ohhh, Cathedral’s “Tower of Silence” is So Good

We’re coming to the end of an era, folks: after almost a quarter of a century, British doomy doom dooms Cathedral are getting ready to release their final album, appropriately entitled The Last Spire. Wow. And it seems like just yesterday that Earache sent me a copy of the Forest of Equilibrium every day for a solid week. Those were good times for Completely Unreadable Band Logo of the Week winners.

But I digress.

Cathedral have now released their first Last single ever, “Tower of Silence,” and it’s pretty freakin’ cool. It got just that right mix of doom n’ groove that makes Cathedral, well, Cathedral. Also, the guitar solo is killer. Check it out:
