Exclusive Full Album Stream: Batillus, Concrete Sustain
When we said that Batillus’ forthcoming new album Concrete Sustain is easily their best effort yet we meant it, and now we’re putting our money where our big, fat, dumb Internet mouths are: you can stream the entire album below in advance of its release next week.
These NYC doom-bringers (side note: why is “bringer” always used to describe doom bands?) have been pedaling their thunderous industrio-sludge since 2009, but Concrete Sustain is their most cohesive release yet. It’s also their most unique; the band has finally found a seamless way to blend their doom foundation with the industrial element that vocalist Fade Kainer brings to the band, and they’ve done it by writing their catchiest songs to date. That it’s their best sounding release from a sonic perspective (thanks to Sanford Parker, who produced their 2011 release Furnace as well) doesn’t hurt things one bit.
Concrete Sustain comes out next Tuesday via Seventh Rule. Order it here. The band is on tour now; remaining dates below.
