The “I Wanna See You Cry Bitch!” Kid from Defiler Wrote a Rap Song About “Deathcore Scene Politics”
Jake Petzl — perhaps best known to metal fans around the world as the extremely sensitive vocalist for Defiler — has written and recorded a rap song, which debuted on Stuff You Will Hate, and which SYWH’s head honcho, our very good friend Sergeant D., describes as being about “deathcore scene politics.” And I have to say, even though I absolutely am not a Defiler fan, the track is hilarious — and deliberately so. Jake, you had me at “can’t make any bitches cry anymore.” A++++ WDBWA. I mean, I still think your band is pretty lousy, but at least you have some self-awareness!
