“Shift” Into High Gear with Enabler
In case it isn’t readily apparent, we’ve become obsessed with Enabler here at the MetalSucks Mansion. Their 2012 full-length, All Hail the Void, made both Vince’s and my own year end list. Last month, we debuted “Live Low,” from their new EP, Shift of Redemption. Hell, I wore a terrifically offensive Enabler shirt during my interview for Metal Injection’s Top 10 Most Influential Metal Albums of All Time, which was a deliberate effort on my part to try and help promote the band (I didn’t realize their actual name would be framed out… d’oh!). I’m like a half-step away from having their Facebook URL tattooed across my forehead.
So do me a favor — well, really, do YOURSELF a favor — and head over to Lambgoat, where they’re now streaming the title track from Shift. It’s just as awesome as “Live Low,” or anything else the band has done for that matter. It may very well be the best new song you hear all day. It will almost certainly gut-punch you so hard that you shit your pants and pass out. It’s A++++ WDBWA stuff.
Listen here. Think Fast! Records will release the EP worldwide on April 9 via digital download and 7”; the first pressing is limited to 1,000 copies, with 350 copies pressed on gold wax and 650 on clear. Pre-order it here.
