Eat Your Idols for Dinner

I’ve just watched the new Idols for Dinner video, “Prosthetic Memories,” twice in a row. It is by no means a great, or even especially good, video — in fact, there’s something downright goofy about a French band making a clip that revolves around American legal authorities — but I really dig the song. For one thing, it’s just epic, and for another, it has just enough flourishes throughout to make it stand apart from the seven billion other songs that sound like this and were released today. At the same time, the track never gets too busy, either. It’s not hard to imagine the Summer Slaughter crowd eating these dudes up… if you’ll excuse the pun.

Side note: how much does the girl in this video look like Christina Applegate???

“Prosthetic Memories” appears on Idols for Dinner’s Tenants of a Declining World, which is out now.
