Soilwork Want Me to Live a Long Time!

The latest song to be released from Soilwork’s The Living Infinite is called “Long Live the Misanthrope,” and speaking as misanthrope, I am uncharacteristically delighted that it’s so good. Not since Chimaira’s “Pure Hatred” has my own pessimism been so tested by a song about pessimism. It’s the exact opposite feeling I get from listening to songs like “Here Comes the Sun,” “Walking on Sunshine,” and chirpy songs about things that are pleasant.

The Living Infinite comes out March 5 on Nuclear Blast.
