Gorguts Sets New Deal, New Album In 2013

New records from Suffocation, Autopsy, and Carcass loom on our horizon, so already 2013 is bloated with promise of awesome death metal. So it’s fitting that tech-death veterans Gorguts, fresh from the Death To All Tour, signed last week to Season of Mist for their long-delayed fifth album this year.

Details are few — no title, tracklisting, or artwork yet — but here’s frontman Luc Lemay: “Our forthcoming album will be a very detailed, dark, epic, emotional, conceptual record” And considering his new ace lineup including Colin Marston on bass (*squeal!*) and Kevin Hufnagel (Dysrhythmia, While Heaven Wept) on guitar, we don’t doubt him.
